I am a writer, editor and journalist of Australian, English and Pakistani descent. I was born in Melbourne and brought up in Islamabad. I have previously lived and worked in Lahore, Islamabad, Darwin and Toowoomba. 

I have written for ABC News Australia, South China Morning Post and The Friday Times.

I was Opinion Editor at Daily Times in Lahore, Pakistan, and was one of the first journalists to cover the imminent smog crises in Punjab and the looming water crises.

My recent work has been focussed on opinion articles that advocate for better policies and awareness about geopolitics, environment, development, heritage, sport, art and culture.
